The role
Connecting the Council with surgical communities worldwide.
National Delegates are an important link between ISS/SIC leadership, members and national surgical organisations. Their local perspective helps the Society understand where collaboration, education and professional support can have the greatest value.

2026 network update
National representation continues to grow.
At the September 2026 Council meeting, ten new National Delegates were reported for Argentina, Estonia, Hong Kong, Lithuania, Nigeria, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.
The delegate directory is being reviewed as part of the website migration so that names, terms and contact information can be published from one verified source.
