Participating Societies & Partners

Global collaboration beyond the core network.

International Surgical Week connects ISS/SIC and its Integrated Societies with additional surgical organisations, professional partners and guest societies from around the world.

Keep the categories clear

Integrated is not the same as participating.

The five Integrated Societies belong to the formal ISS/SIC structure. Participating, associated and guest societies may collaborate with International Surgical Week or specific ISS/SIC activities without becoming Integrated Societies.

This distinction is important because congress partnerships can change from one ISW cycle to the next.

ISW 2026 collaboration

A broad surgical network in Mexico City.

The most recent completed Congress brought together an Associated Society, Participating Societies and a wider group of guest and partner organisations. These lists document ISW 2026 and should not be read as the final partner list for ISW 2028.

Associated Society

CSSL

College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka

Current status note

IASSS

IASSS participated in the ISW 2026 programme and is now one of the five current Integrated Societies of ISS/SIC, so it is not duplicated in the Participating Society list below.

Congress relationships evolve

ISW 2028 will have its own collaboration network.

The 2026 participating-society MoUs were extended through the end of 2026. For Cape Town 2028, this page should be updated only when the relevant invitations, agreements and programme partnerships are formally confirmed.

One global platform

Connect specialist communities without blurring their roles.

The new ISS/SIC website keeps Integrated Societies, participating organisations and congress-specific partners clearly separated while showing how they come together around science, education and International Surgical Week.
